No-Cost Technical Assistance to Governments Across Africa
The Clean Energy Solutions Center, an initiative of the Clean Energy Ministerial, mobilizes knowledge, builds capacity, and supports governments in the creation and adoption of clean energy policies to spur electrification efforts across Africa. Since 2015, the Solutions Center has partnered with Power Africa to provide quick response, no-cost technical assistance through its Ask an Expert service. A few highlights of Solutions Center’s Ask and Expert Service work with Power Africa include:
- An analysis of economic viability of different off-grid renewable energy solutions within the current legal framework and existing incentives in Togo.
- Support for the development of a regulatory strategy to help identify and support the integration of renewable energy into the power grid in Burundi.
- Support for a systematic approach to assess interlinked gender and energy issues in the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) region.
